Visit to Day Training Centre

Date : 18 November 2009
Time : 9.00-12.30

We had our community service project for the last activity of the year 2009.We paid a visit to the Day Training Centre (DTC) with a total of 20 interactors accompanied by one of our teacher advisor, Cik Siti Nor Aswani.


All the participants were told to arrive at 8.00am and gathered at the school canteen for some preparation.The 20 participants and teacher advisor boarded the bus at about 8.30am.


All the participants were divided into groups and were given a briefing on what they had to do. After that, everyone started doing their works.

Our Interactors have been holding on the motto of Interact Club - Service Above Self. They're always doing their best to help the less fortunate with their sincere hearts. Great Job!!!....Interactors

On the whole, it was a very successful project which has benefits everyone who took part in it. We managed to take some memorable photos before leaving the place!.....

The 6th Joint Installation of HSBP & TIGS

Venue: Hai Huang Restaurant
Theme: Love In The Act


The Interact Club of HSBP & TIGS had organized the 6th Joint Installation on 28th August 2009 which was held at Hai Huang Restaurant. The theme for this year installation was " Love In The Act" . The hall was filled up with guests at around 6.30pm. , followed by the arrival of Rotarians and teacher advisers from both school. Then, the ceremony was addressed by the emcees of the night, Int. Akmal Hakim, Int. Lim Ze-Yuin, Int. Lim Wen Qing and Int. Muruga Prasanth.


The opening performance of the ceremony was the IntroBANDuction (Interact Band). After that was the singing of the National Anthem and roll call from Interact Club of various schools.Then , The Rotary President, Pres.Chew Kok Siang and the New Generation Service, Rtn. Teo Cheng Chuan delivered their speeches.The ceremony continued with the speeches from outgoing President from both school, Int.Tan Kah Yee(HSBP) and Int. Fiona Ng(TIGS).


Next, momentoes were given to the outgoing Board of Directors and souvenirs were also given to the Rotarians, teacher advisors and sponsors.It was continued with the presentation of badges to the incoming Board of Directors 2009/2010 of both schools. Then the oath taking was led by the President of Interact Club HSBP,Int. Teo Raymond , followed by the singing of Interact Song.






On that night, various performances were performed such as fashion shows (In Nyonya style), ballroom dance, Magic show, Transformer, the music show which combined guzheng, piano,violin & chinese flute, and singing from Int. Wendy Victoria Vaz & Int. Ruby Tan.

On the whole, it was really a very successful and memorable night for everyone especially the organizing committee as they had put in a lot of efforts to make sure that the ceremony run smoothly.
Every guests were given a goodies bag and a hand-made souvenir as a token of appreciation before they left. The committee members took some photos for remembrance of that wonderful night.
